On Thursday, December 12th, the Westside Warriors partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South to help grant the wish of former student, Skylar. Skylar, who is currently homeschooling, arrived at the Warriors AFJROTC building where she thought she was going to be assisting her former squad with some community service projects. Instead, Skylar was surprised with a celebration of her one true wish being granted. Skylar and her family will be celebrating Christmas at Disney World where Skylar hopes to meet her favorite character, Stitch. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South would like to thank the Westside School District for helping with Skylar's wish.

Congratulations to Westside Alumni!
Last weekend, the Arkansas State University Band held their annual marching band banquet, and we are thrilled to share that Hayden Brinkley and Nicholas Bratten were announced as the Rookies of the Year!
This prestigious honor is typically awarded to just one member, but this year both of these outstanding young men received the recognition. Hayden and Nicholas were dedicated members of the Westside Band Program for 8 years before graduating last year.
We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments. Congratulations, Hayden and Nicholas—once a Warrior, always a Warrior! ❤️🤍
The Westside Chapter of the National Honor Society participated in the Angel Tree project. Our NHS officers shopped and wrapped gifts for families in our community.

WHS Parents and Guardians,
Please see the following link concerning Saturday School for students at WHS who may loose credit in classes due to not meeting the board approved attendance policy. Students at risk of lost credits received and email from Mr. George today notifying them of their need to attend. It is highly recommend for each parent to talk with your student to see if they are in need of this opportunity. There are no alternative dates for this opportunity.

Westside high school and middle school EAST students had a visit from Mr. Lee Wells with the #cityofjonesboro and #jets transportation to highlight the new trolly system they have for the Jonesboro community. Students learned about how the trolleys came about for the city, how they work, and where the community can locate them.
Ms. Alice Whitaker, one of our custodian at WHS, goes above and beyond to make our breezeway a warm and inviting space. She uses her own time and resources to decorate it each year, making it special for both students and staff.
One of her most thoughtful additions is the “Wish Box,” where students can share their thoughts, hopes, and dreams. Each year, we read these wishes to staff, giving us a glimpse into what’s going on in our students’ lives. Some are funny, and others are more serious, but all are treated with care and compassion.
If you see Ms. Alice, be sure to thank her for the positive impact she has on WHS. She truly makes a difference!
