Homecoming Festivities Schedule for October 12th!
High School parents,
There will be presentations for parents on the Vaping Epidemic provided by the CDRC and Project Prevent during parent teacher conferences from 5:30-8:30 pm. These sessions will run about 30-45 minutes each. This will be held in Coach Nabors' room.
Reminder: The boys basketball parent meeting is tonight, October 11th at 5:30 in the high school gym. This is a mandatory meeting for parents of all boys basketball players 7th-12th grade. Many items will be discussed in a short amount of time. The meeting should only last approximately 30 minutes. Please make every effort to attend.

Attention Home Schools in Westside Consolidated School District - Our Office of Special Education will hold a meeting with parents of students:

◦are currently homeschooling

Westside Consolidated School District Annual Report to the Public will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Thank you to all the families that came to our parking lot party last night. Fun times were had by all. It is great to see our high school kids interacting with our Little Warriors!
On this Columbus/ Indigenous People's day, WHS students in Mrs. Sample Wright's class are learning about the routes explorers took in discovering the New World.

Tuesday night, several WHS students attended a red carpet movie premier event held on the campus of the University of Arkansas - Pulaski Tech in Little Rock to watch the movies created during film camp.
These students attended a film camp last April hosted by Joey Travolta. Students worked along side many Hollywood film makers including Barry Pearl, who played Doody in Grease & Bill Dion who helped produce The Mandalorian. During camp, teams of students wrote, starred in and filmed their very own short film and commercial with other students from around the state learning skills like communication, collaboration and team work.

Parents/Guardians: The 2023 Flu Shot Clinic is scheduled for November 6th & 7th for Westside students. Forms will be sent home soon and are due back by October 30th if you wish for your child to participate.
There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, October 13, 2023 due to Teacher Professional Development.
